How To Go From Singapore To Mersing By Bus
Step 1: Online Purchase Bus Ticket From Singapore To Mersing
- To buy tickets online, you could choose to buy from easyboook.com or KKKL Express.
Step 2: Board The Bus At Designated Location To Woodlands Checkpoint
- Based on your ticket, go to the specific departure point to board your bus.
Step 3: Clear Singapore Immigration At Woodlands Checkpoint
- Alight the bus and then take the escalator up. And queue at immigration counters and wait to verify and stamp the passport.
Step 4: Reboard Same Bus Again From Woodlands Checkpoint To JB Checkpoint
- After completing, take the escalator down, and reboard back to your bus.
Step 5: Clear JB Immigration At JB Checkpoint
- When you reach JB Sentral Checkpoint, alight the bus with your luggage to clear your immigration through E-gate or manual immigration counter.
Step 6: Reboard Same Bus To Mersing Jetty/Mersing Bus Terminal
- After the immigration process, get back to the bus and the bus will drive you directly to Mersing without any intermediate stop.

A Few Things To Note
E-Gate:
- For Singaporeans, you don’t need to fill up the MDAC since 2024. But for first-timers, you still need to submit MDAC once.
Step Guide Of E-Gate For First Timer:
- Three days before your trip, submit the MDAC form online.
- When you reach customs, you still have to clear immigration at the manual immigration counter to let the officer verify and stamp your passport.
- After you have done the one-time registration process, you’re allowed to use E-gate to enter Malaysia on your next time trip.

Step 2: Immigration Clearance At Singapore-Johor Border
Singapore Immigration Clearance
- All the buses that go to Larkin Sentral from Singapore will only go through Woodlands Checkpoint to clear immigration.
Malaysia Immigration Clearance
- When you reach JB CIQ First Link, go down the bus with your luggage and use E-gate or manual immigration counter to clear immigration.
Step 3: Board Connecting Bus CWL Or 170 To Larkin Sentral From JB CIQ
As buses CW1, CW2, and CW5 will reach JB Sentral only, so need to transit to bus CWL to go Larkin Sentral from JB Sentral.
For SBS Transit 160 and 170X, these two buses only reach until JB Sentral Bus Terminal. At JB Sentral Bus Terminal, you need to transit to bus 170 to Larkin Sentral.
